Most agents out there will tell you, the best time of the year to buy a home is November or December.
The TLDR of it is…no, that’s not true, it may very well be right now.
Although that may be true in general, that is simply not true for most people…because most people have special situations that impact their decision making. The time of the year does not….and should not be the driving force influencing your decision to purchase a new home for you and your family.
There are several other factors – if you are considering November and December, what is your cash flow towards the end of the year, do you have time commitments that will affect your availability, is your lease coming to an end, what’s the market saying in terms of loans, etc and the list goes on. But many agents fail to take into consideration the whole list of factors which I could talk about forever in this post…that apply ONLY to You.
That’s where experience comes in. Having worked with clients in different situations, needs, budgets and preferences, I am able to guide them towards the best decision for them. My knowledge in the business helps my clients make informed decisions.
But the real estate business isn’t just a business to improve your life’s aesthetics. It’s also an investment where you, your family expect to make MONEY. How do we do. that? Timing is an important factor, but so also is planned duration of ownership. All other things being equal though, one of the best times to buy a home may actually be right now. I could explain why in detail. Let’s set up an appointment. As my client, I have to look out for you.
